The Paper Pumpkin kit arrived this week in the mail and I LOVE Paper Pumpkin. One would think I don't need it but there is just something fun about getting a surprise package in the mail each month full of EVERYTHING needed to make that month's project. No thinking, no planning, no measuring just FUN packed in a box!
The theme this month was Easter which is cool and I held a Paper Pumpkin Party so my subscribers could come and we could all make our kits together. It was fun and I have more info and pics on that on my facebook page which you can see HERE.
But, I got inspired by the shaker card that I found and so for our project here I used some of the Paper Pumpkin supplies and made 4 lovely shaker cards to share with you.
The kit came with a set of 3x3 cards with a plain window surrounded by a pattern. I found that the Layering Squares Framelits set had a scallop frame that perfectly cut out the plain part and left the pattern edge.
I then used Scorpal tape to attach the frame to the front of a piece of 3x3 acetate and stamped the image on with Stazon ink. Then I added foam adhesive strips to the back of the framed piece with the acetate (after it was stamped) to raise it up. The other half of the card from the kit that I cut the frame from was used to create the background behind. The card itself I used the Color Spritzer and Sweet Sugarplum ink to "splatter" some color on the background. The "Happy Spring" came from the stamp set included with the Paper Pumpkin kit. The "I love You" came from Flourishing Phrases and the banner came from Love Blooms.
Enjoy! Let me know which one is your favorite, I'd love to hear from you and if you are interested in signing up for Paper Pumpkin let me know and I'll help you get set up.
Now check out what the other gals have made, I'm sure you'll be blown away by all the creativity that comes from these special ladies
