Whoever said that Valentines always have to be red, white and pink? Not me! Don't get me wrong those really do work but so do other color combinations.
For instance, how about Dapper Denim, Mint Macaroon and Copper foil sound to you?! Combine those with Paisleys and Hearts and you've got a winning combination. Don't turn your nose up just yet! Wait and see how it all comes together with the hot air balloon design provided by our ever talented Liz Holloway. Liz has the file available on her site AND she is going live with a FB business site on January 7th so check out this link for that. LIZ
Here is a list of the materials I used:
- Dapper Denim card stock
- Petals & Paisleys designer series paper
- Copper Foil card stock
- Pretty Pines Thinlits (for the bows)
- Happy Heart Embossing Folder (for the basket sides)
- Sweet & Sassy Framelits (for the hearts)
- Silhouette Cameo to create and print the words for the base onto clear sticker paper and to cut the hot air balloons that decorate the base
Here is a close up of the base:
And the base - I will be using this as a centerpiece so I placed it on my turntable, put lights in the turntable so it is lit up from the bottom, and attached a banner to the turntable to tie it all together.
I will be making 6 of these for centerpieces for my next Soroptimist club meeting. For those that don't know how to pronounce that it is "sore-optimist" It is a latin word loosely translated it means "Best For Women" Our club is part of a world wide philanthropic organization that works to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. You can learn more about the organization HERE
Just in case you'd like to see the centerpiece in action here a video of it turning:
I sincerely hope you have enjoyed stopping by today. Check the links below to see what the other creative members of the team have made.
